CHAIR YOGA:
ACCESSIBLE MOVEMENT FOR EVERY BODY

This 8-hour module will equip yoga teachers with the skills and knowledge to make yoga accessible to a wider audience by using chairs as supportive props. Participants will learn how to adapt traditional yoga poses for seated practice, making yoga inclusive for seniors, individuals with limited mobility, office workers, and anyone seeking a gentler practice. The module will cover key chair yoga sequences, breathwork, modifications, and safety considerations, along with teaching methodologies to build confidence in leading chair yoga classes. By the end of this module, teachers will be prepared to create safe, effective, and engaging chair yoga sessions that promote flexibility, strength, and relaxation for all bodies.

Learn how to design sequences that build progressively, cater to diverse student needs, and maintain a balance between challenge and accessibility. You'll also delve into the nuances of sequencing for different themes, energies, and class styles, giving you the tools to offer your students a deeper, more meaningful yoga experience.

This 8-hour module dives deep into the power and potential of yoga during the perinatal period, encompassing conception, pregnancy, birth, miscarriage, and postpartum. Through lecture, discussion, and practice, participants will explore how yoga can support the unfolding of this unique journey. Key topics include connecting to the womb, practicing yoga (asana, pranayama, mantra, meditation) throughout the ‘Four Trimesters,’ embracing the power of rest with Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra, and preparing for labor with yoga techniques. The course will also cover how to safely and meaningfully hold space for expecting students and new parents.
