CULTIVATING JOY
January 2-7, 2026
Desiree and Erin are back for another epic adventure on the beautiful island of Roatán in the Bay Islands of Honduras! Join us for Cultivating Joy - a 5 night 6 day retreat hosted at the Calabash Bight Retreat Center.
January 2 - 7, 2026
Cultivating Joy is inspired by the timeless wisdom of The Book of Joy by the Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu. Together, we’ll explore the eight pillars of joy through daily yoga, mindfulness practices, and intentional connection.
You’ll also have the chance to tap into your sense of wonder and play with unforgettable adventures like scuba diving, swimming with stingrays and nurse sharks, exploring lush mangroves, and up close encounters with native wildlife! FAQ’S
Q: Do I have sign up with a friend?
A: No! Having a friend sign up with you is not necessary. When booking you have the option of choosing to rent out the entire bungalow or choosing to share a bungalow with one or two other people. We do our best to match people by personality to ensure that everyone feels comfortable and has fun!
Q: Is this retreat for women only?
A: This retreat is for everyone! We do ask that any male participants attend with a friend or partner so that they can share a bungalow or you have the option to purchase the whole bungalow.
Q: How do I get to Honduras?
A: From your connecting city, you will then take a flight to Juan Manuel Gálvez International Airport (RTB) in Roatán. Airlines like United, American Airlines, and Delta offer connecting flights, especially from Dallas, Miami, Houston and Denver. Please note, this will most likely require you to fly overnight. Plan on leaving California on 1/1 to arrive on 1/2. You will be picked up from the airport where you will take a short drive to a water taxi and arrive at Calabash Bight via boat!
Q: What’s Included?
A: Your pricing includes transportation to and from the airport, lodging, food including a daily cocktail and all non-alcoholic beverages as well as access to water sport equipment that can be used at the retreat center.
Q: When is payment due?
A: Your $500 non-refundable deposit is due at time of registration. Payment in full is due by 11/1/2025. Monthly payment arrangements can be made with no additional charge.
Q: What is your refund policy?
A: Deposits are non-refundable. Payment installments are non-refundable after payment unless your spot is filled by another participant. Any refunds will incur a $150 transaction fee and exclude the $500 deposit. Full refunds are provided if the retreat is canceled due to low enrollment. It is advised that you purchase travel insurance to cover any instances outside of these.
